1. Raw Material Selection
The tail frame is mainly made of high-strength structural steel, typically Q345B, Q355, or equivalent alloy steel. These materials provide excellent load-bearing capacity and weldability, forming a solid foundation for the overall structure.
2. Cutting and Processing
Steel plates and profiles are cut according to design drawings. CNC cutting machines and laser cutting equipment are used to ensure dimensional accuracy and reduce subsequent machining errors.
3. Welding Process
The components of the tail frame are welded using CO₂ gas shielded welding and submerged arc welding. The weld seams are strong and full. Critical welds undergo ultrasonic (UT) or magnetic particle (MT) inspection to guarantee structural safety and reliability.
4. Machining and Assembly
Machining is performed on the welded frame to ensure the accuracy of installation holes and connection surfaces.
Key components such as sprocket seats and tensioning devices are assembled to ensure precise alignment with the scraper chain system.
5. Surface Treatment
The entire tail frame undergoes shot blasting and rust removal, followed by coating with anti-rust primer and wear-resistant industrial paint to improve corrosion resistance and extend service life. For export equipment, additional anti-rust oil or special coatings can be applied upon request.
6. Inspection and Quality Control
Finished products are subject to strict appearance checks, dimensional verification, and load tests. Only after passing quality inspection can the products be delivered, ensuring long-term stable operation under the harsh conditions of underground coal mines.
